Delorbis Privacy Policy for your Personal Data


At Delorbis Pharmaceuticals Ltd (“Delorbis”, “we”, “our”, “us”), we value and protect your (“your”, “you”, “data subject”) personal data. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) provides information on how we may collect and process your personal data when you visit our website (www.delorbispharma.eu), in the course of our core business activities in general, when we provide you with any of our services and, lastly, when you provide us with your services.

This Policy has been created in order to inform you of the legal bases and the purposes according to which Delorbis processes your personal data. In addition to the EU data protection law (“General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR”), Delorbis is bound to several European and International regulations and laws relevant to its core business which altogether form the legal framework within which we operate.

1. THE DATA WE PROCESS ABOUT YOU  

Personal data consist of any piece of information which could be used to directly or indirectly identify you, a physical person (also referred to as “data subject”). It does not include data relevant to legal persons and it is not applicable from the time your identity has been removed and cannot be retrieved (i.e. the so called ‘anonymised data’).

Delorbis may process different categories of personal data, including but not limited to:

  • Data related to technical configurations, such as internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, cookies, and other related technology on the various devices you use to access our website;
  • Identity Data, such as names, marital status, date of birth, identity card, passport, as you may have voluntarily provided us with;
  • Contact data, such as addresses, email address and telephone numbers you may have given to us for further correspondence;
  • Financial Data, such as, bank account details, again as you may have voluntarily provided us with;
  • Special categories of data, such as health records. This is only in the context of specific legislation and, as the rest of the data, they are handled with all necessary precautions;
  • Other personal information voluntarily provided by you, the data subject. ​

2. LEGAL BASES OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

A. The core business activities and services provided by Delorbis are by their nature highly regulated by the European legislation and local Cyprus Law. We collect and process personal data in order to:

  • Fulfill our obligations in accordance with any contractual terms and conditions that we may have with you;
  • Comply with any legislative obligations imposed upon us, such as but not limited to tax, accounting, social insurance law, EU Pharmacovigilance legislation, EU Good Manufacturing Practices, and other EU, International and Cypriot legislation.

B. We may also process special categories of personal data where necessary, in particular for reasons of public interest in the area of public health: this is the case, for example, of our Pharmacovigilance activities. More specifically, the purpose of collecting this type of data is the evaluation and monitoring of safety information of medicinal products which are already in the market. Further EU, International and Cypriot related legislations may also require Delorbis to process special categories of personal data, for example in the context of the EU Good Manufacturing Practices.

C. Where required, we will obtain all appropriate consents in accordance with the law and/or rely on our legitimate interest except when this interest is overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms.

3. YOUR RIGHTS

We would like to inform you that, as a data subject, you have the right to request access, rectification, restriction, erasure of your personal data along with the right to object to us handling your personal data. In any case, it must also be noted that, due to the specific legal framework within which Delorbis operates, these rights are not absolute and may be subject to specific conditions and/or justified exceptions. Finally, we would also like you to note that Delorbis does not rely on any automated decision-making programme or software for the processing of your data.

4. TRANSFER OF DATA

We do not transfer personal data outside the EEA. However, if we are ever requested or required to do so, we undertake to implement all appropriate legal mechanisms required by Cyprus and EU Data Protection Law, specifically Chapter V of the GDPR.

5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA  

We may have to share (part of) your personal data with Governmental Authorities, Regulatory or Τax Authorities within the EU in order to fulfil our legal obligations. Such Authorities are also regulated by the EU Data Protection Law.

Further, when carrying out our obligations with regard to our core business activities, we may need to share (part of) your personal data with our contractors. These contractors are qualified (where applicable) under our quality system and we continuously verify that they are compliant with the GDPR.

6. SECURITY

Delorbis has implemented a set of technical and organisational measures, in order to protect your personal data from any unlawful and accidental breach. Further, Delorbis has also been developing procedures with the aim to rapidly react, identify, report and ultimately respond to such data breaches, however unlikely they may be.

Cookies are bits of electronic information that a website can transfer to your hard drive to help tailor and keep records of your visit.
